Online Privacy Policy

The 13th International Conference on Development of Drylands (13ICDD) has established this Privacy Policy to explain how it protects and manages the personal information that it collects from you (the participant) online.

Consent for Collection, Use and Disclosure

Your use of the 13ICDD site and/or your registration for products and services constitute your consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the 13ICDD site. A participant may withdraw his or her consent for collection, use and disclosure at any time by sending an email.

Accountability

The 13ICDD collects, at the time of your registration and your sign-on to its web site, certain “personal information” (information that personally identifies you) including but not limited to your name, email address, home or work address, telephone number, and information about your passport details (if any, provided).

Purposes for Collecting Personal Information

The 13ICDD collects and uses personal information for the following Identified Purposes:

  • to understand participant needs regarding the 13ICDD services;
  • to develop and provide our web site and services for our delegates;
  • to communicate with participants and site visitors, when necessary, and to inform participants of upgrades, as well as of other services available from the 13ICDD, its affiliates and third parties;
  • to allow participants to access limited-entry areas of the 13ICDD site;
  • to bill accounts and maintain payment records;
  • to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or government request;
  • to respond to a legitimate claim, or to address our reasonable belief, that you are violating the rights of any third party or any of the agreements or policies that govern your use of the 13th International Conference on Development of Drylands site or service;
  • to protect the services, products or rights of the 13ICDD, including but not limited to the security or integrity of the 13ICDD site; and
  • to identify and resolve technical problems concerning the 13ICDD site and services.
Responsibility of Participants

Participants need to take care for their belongings at the venue during the conference. 13ICDD & hotel management will not be held responsible for any stolen or missing items belonging to Delegates, Speakers or Attendees; due to any reason whatsoever.

Requesting an Invitation Letter

Letter of invitation will be sent only to those individuals who will pay registration fee for the conference. Once your registration is complete, please contact info@13icdd.com or 13icdd@gmail.com to request a personalized letter of invitation which can be used as a supporting document while applying for visa.

Visa Information

Keeping in view of increased security measures, we would like to request all the participants to request invitation letter from organizers & apply for Visa as soon as possible. 13ICDD will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants.

Important note for failed visa applications

Visa issues cannot come under the consideration of cancellation policy, including the inability to obtain a visa.

Refund Policy and Transfer of Registration fee

No refund is allowed in case of registration fee but it can be transferred to other persons from the same organization, if registered person is unable to attend the event. Transfers must be made by the registered person in writing to info@13icdd.com or 13icdd@gmail.com. Details must be included the full name of replacement person, their title, contact phone number and email address and other details required by Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of External Affairs clearance. However, Registration cannot be transferred if it is intimated within 10 weeks of respective conference. The transferred registrant will not be eligible for Refund.

Cancellation and Postponement

If 13ICDD cancel this event for any reason, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid.

Accommodation Cancellation Policy

Accommodation Providers (Hotels) have their own cancellation policies. Our Team will advise you to go through the cancellation policy of your accommodation provider, prior to cancelling or amending your booking, to ensure you are fully aware of any non-refundable deposits.
